Badminton: 10 technicians to tackle level 1

Fundamentally attached to development through the quality of its technicians, the Ivorian Badminton Federation (FIBAD) initiated an 8-day training course last Saturday with ten of them in Hall 2 of the sports center. Led by Beninese expert Bernardin Bokpè, Regional Development Officer of the African Badminton Confederation (BCA), this training will allow 10 applicants to obtain their Level 1 coaching diploma.

“This training is purely technical, but it will equip coaches to be able to supervise young people who are going to start badminton, that is to say young people from 12 to 15 years old. The training is very much based on the training of children. The lessons provided will also allow participants to work with adults who wish to practice Badminton “, the Beninese expert told us before adding that” training is essentially based on five performance factors. These are technique, tactics, physique, psychology and lifestyle ».

Happy to see this training take shape during this difficult season marked by the Covid 19 pandemic, Honoré Zolobé, the boss of Ivorian badminton has located the framework. ” We placed the year 2020 under the auspices of training and relaunching our activities. Unfortunately, the Covid 19 pandemic has dampened our momentum. But, we are not discouraged either. We have the schedule drawn up by the national technical direction. And, this training is a part of the plan of the work that will be carried out », He indicated.

Present at the opening ceremony of this training last Saturday, Émile Djako, the envoy of the Ministry of Sports ” encouraged the learners and asked them to make good use of the knowledge distilled during the training “. Open on Saturday October 10, this training will run until next Saturday.
