Atlético Nacional: you have the greats of Colombia in the 2020 Betplay League | Colombian Soccer | Betplay League

In a real headache, Atlético Nacional was able to beat the historic teams of the Colombian League. Those led by Juan Carlos Osorio have had trouble when it comes to facing teams such as Junior, América, Millonarios, Santa Fe and Deportivo Cali, of whom the tie has not passed more than since the Risaraldense took over as coach in June 2019.

With Junior it has not been able neither in the Atanasio, nor in the Metropolitan. Of his last four games, he lost two and drew two, curiously by the same score (2-2). Nacional’s last triumph over the ‘shark’ dates from October 21, 2018, for the date 16 of League II-2018, with a goal by Helibelton Palacios.

America beat him for the first time since his return from the second division, the ‘red devils’ defeated the greens at Pascual Guerrero 2-1 with goals from Michael Rangel and Duván Vergara, for Nacional Baldomero Perlaza discounted. Against the Valle del Cauca they will have to play next Sunday at the Atanasio, where the locals have been undefeated since 2009.

Against Millonarios, the last matches did not go beyond a draw and to remember a purslane victory we must go back to September 16, 2017, on the 12th date of League II-2017, the Antioqueños surpassed the ambassadors at the Atanasio by 3- two. This year’s game to be played in El Campín for date 17 is still pending.

Although he eliminated it in the Copa Colombia 2019, for the League against Independiente Santa Fe the story has been complicated, the last two games ended level, 0-0 in League II-2019 and the remembered 2-2 of March 8, the last National party before the pandemic. The cardinals have not been beaten since Sunday, May 5, by the last date of League I-2019.

Against Deportivo Cali the story is similar to that with Santa Fe in the League, in the last two games they did not go beyond a draw, 0-0 in League II-2019 and a thrilling 2-2 draw at Atanasio this year. Daniel Bocanegra’s goal in Palmaseca last Sunday, May 26, 2019 is the last sweet memory of the purslane against the ‘sugar growers’.

Although it is well placed in the standings, partially classifying in the group of eight, Nacional will have to improve in that pending subject to beat the historical ones if it wants to achieve the objectives planned since January.
