Arsenal hit £ 110million Thomas Partey transfer deal as Gunners inject the money

Arsenal brokered Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey a stunning £ 110m deal.

They made the dramatic transfer coup on the cut-off date by triggering Party’s £ 52.5 million clause, which was included in his contract with the Spanish football authorities.

They also pay Partey £ 260,000 per week on a four year contract with an option, £ 2.5 million registration fee and ten percent brokerage commission all in one stunning package.

Arsenal had been trying to negotiate with Atletico all summer but knew they always had the option to trigger the buy-out clause that is standard in player contracts in Spain.

It’s a relatively straightforward process, but the biggest problem was whether they had enough time to get the deal across the line.

Club attorneys must present the check to pay the full transfer fee in full, while many businesses are paid in installments.

You must also provide evidence that personal terms have been agreed through confirmation with the player and his agent.

They will then need to receive an email confirmation from La Liga in time to meet the transfer deadline – 11pm in the UK – to complete an international transfer.

It was a major operation and against the backdrop of Arsenal making huge cuts to the club, including 55 staff layoffs, but they spent a lot of money this summer on deals for Willian, Brazilian defender Gabriel and now Partey.

But Arsenal owner Stan Kroenke has taken over the club’s transfer business and losses due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Kroenke seems to have supported the club’s transfer business on Partey again, as it represents an enormous effort on the cut-off date.

It goes without saying that Gunners boss Mikel Arteta Partey sees a crucial final piece of his puzzle as a strong No6 midfield anchor to give stability to his team and defense.

But Arsenal watched Partey FOUR YEARS ago and could have signed him now for a fraction of the cost, but they passed away despite strong recommendations.

Partey is considered a strong presence in midfield, Arteta likes his passing range and also his ability to interrupt the game in front of the defense.

Partey is said to have come to Arsenal in despair and has pushed for the deal – much to the frustration of Atletico Madrid, who was firmly convinced he would not leave.

But then the representatives of Arsenal managed to trigger the clause. Talks were held in Spain in which he also completed the first part of his medical treatment. Once the move is complete, he is expected to depart on international service.

Partey has the opportunity to come to London to experience his new surroundings before leaving during the international hiatus to check them out completely.
