Aragon MotoGP champion, Alex Rins admits it is more difficult to fight Alex Marquez than his brother

KOMPAS.com – The Suzuki Ecstar racer, Alex Rins, admitted that dueling against Alex Marquez was much more difficult than when he competed with Marc Marquez or Valentino Rossi.

Alex Rins won the 2020 Aragon MotoGP title after winning the race at the Aragon Circuit, Spain, Sunday (18/10/2020) yesterday.

The Spaniard performed impressively and managed to take the pole position despite starting the race from 10th.

Alex Rins also managed to maintain the leading position to the finish line despite the pressure from the rookie of the Repsol Honda team, Alex Marquez, in the final laps.

Rins won the 10th race of the 2020 MotoGP with a slim 0.263 seconds advantage over Alex Marquez.

Meanwhile, Rins’ teammate Joan Mir was forced to settle for finishing third after being overtaken by Alex Marquez.

Responding to this result, Alex Rins said he was really happy.

Because, Alex Rins has not been on the championship podium for a long time and had suffered an injury at the start of the season.

“We had a really good race,” said Alex Rins, as reported by BolaSport.com from Crash.

“This is my first victory with the status of leading the race for a long time,” said Rins again.

Alex Rins also admitted that the victory at Aragon was not easy.

According to Alex Rins, the race for the 2020 Aragon MotoGP title is more difficult than when he won his last two victories, namely at the 2019 Americas MotoGP and 2019 British MotoGP.

Last season, Alex Rins successfully defeated Valentino Rossi at the Circuit of the Americas and Marc Marquez at the British Silverstone Circuit.

“The last two wins, I fought against Valentino Rossi and Marc Marquez, but this time it was more difficult,” said Alex Rins commenting on his competition with Alex Marquez in the MotoGP Aragon.

Suzuki Ecstar racer, Joan Mir, won the third podium in the Aragon MotoGP and displaced Fabio Quartararo (Petronas Yamaha SRT) from the top of the standings.

Until the 2020 Aragon MotoGP race is complete, Mir has collected 121 points.

He is six points ahead of Quartararo.

This weekend, MotoGP 2020 will resume at Motorland Aragon to host the Teruel MotoGP. (Diya Farida Purnawangsuni)
