This is a symbolic action by the Children Cancer Free Foundation (KiKa), the football club and drug company MSD, with which they want to draw attention to children in the Netherlands who have cancer.
The three parties came up with the plan now that the public at professional football is again not welcome in the stadiums due to the corona measures. Traditional sports events for charity cannot take place at KiKa either, which means that the foundation misses a large part of the income needed to fund cancer research.
