The match, dubbed Le Classique, an equivalent of Barcelona vs Real Madrid Clasico in Spain, was a contentious match from the start. Florian Thauvin’s 31-minute goal proved enough to deliver the UEFA Champions League finalists to their second Ligue 1 defeat out of two.
Then, all hell broke loose in injury time when Marseille’s Benedict pushed Paredes, with the PSG midfielder hitting him on the ground before headbutting Alvaro. It was followed by more kicks and punches, with Kurzawa and Amavi involved in the fight.

If Alvaro is a racist, he has to leave our club immediately, and if you know the OM story, every fan thinks the same thing. No racism in my club. I hope there will be an investigation. #PSGOM
