Barcelona confirmed on Tuesday that Ivan Rakitic has left the club and returned to Sevilla for a salary of € 1.5m with variable € 9m.
The Croatian international passed medical examinations with Julen Lopetegui’s team on Monday and has now signed an agreement that will last until 2024.
He follows Arthur Melo as he leaves the club ahead of the new season and there may be more outside the door in the coming weeks.
Arturo Vidal and Luis Suarez are believed to be both in talks to end their contracts. The duo is also currently in connection with the transfer to Serie A.
