Barcelona’s hierarchy may be pushing for superstar Lionel Messi to stay with the Spanish giants, but it doesn’t seem like many of his teammates think the same way.
Only TWO of the Argentine genius’ Barca teammates have reportedly told him to stay at the Catalan club.
Sky Sports report that Messi’s South American compatriots Luis Suarez and Arturo Vidal are the duo who are pushing for his stay, while even close friends Sergio Busquets and Gerard Pique have remained silent on the matter.

Vidal launched a stabbing public assault on the club’s failures and blew up the squad for having only 13 professional players (a dig in his youth-heavy roster) and relying too heavily on Messi.
“Messi is the best in the world, an alien, but he needs help to get better results,” said Vidal.
Suarez and Vidal’s futures remain under a dark cloud and new coach Ronald Koeman reportedly wants to see both of them out the door – as he reportedly told Suarez in just a minute.
Samuel Umtiti is also on the chopping block, while Jordi Alba and even Sergio Busquets could be dragged on in a mass remodel.
The 33-year-old Vidal was also his own transfer situation and said: “I am in the situation of being thrown away to see if someone wants to see me.”
While Messi continues to boycott training to force an exit, Vidal and Suarez’s only hope could be to stay at Barcelona as Messi could pressure the club to keep his close friends under a remaining deal.
