Injured Bills linebackers Tremaine Edmunds, Matt Milano, Tyrel Dodson and Del’Shawn Phillips will be considered “day to day,” coach Sean McDermott said Monday.

McDermott noted that none of the injuries are expected to be long-term.

Milano suffered a hamstring injury in the first half of Sunday’s win over the New York Jets and received treatment from sports coaches. He was announced as not returning to the game at the start of the third quarter.

Earlier, Milano picked Sam Darnold for his fifth career interception and the first since November 25, 2018 against Jacksonville.

Edmunds injured his shoulder in the third quarter on a play in which he tackled and allowed a 69-yard touchdown on a screen pass. Edmunds made his way to the locker room in the fourth quarter without his jersey after being examined in the secondary medical tent. He returned to the sideline and was not wearing a slingshot.

McDermott echoed what he said after Sunday’s games that it would be a “next player” philosophy if one of the starters is unable to play.

The Bills play their first road game of the season on Sunday against the Miami Dolphins.
