With the third win in the third game, the defending champion improved to second place and only ranks behind the tied leader Leicester City because of the worse goal difference.
Alexandre Lacazette (25th) had brought the guests from London into the lead. Sadio Mané (28th) and Andrew Robertson (34th) made the turn with their goals within nine minutes. The final point was set by Liverpool’s new signing Diogo Jotto (88th) with his first goal in the first game.
