Four Chelsea players ready for the exit door that could finance the transfer of Declan Rice

Chelsea could eliminate four players in an effort to raise money for a move for Declan Rice.

The Blues have been in free spending mode this summer, blasting their rivals out of the water in the transfer window.

The Stamford Bridge squad captured six players this summer as Frank Lampard plans a squad overhaul.

Timo Werner, Hakim Ziyech, Ben Chilwell, Thiago Silva, Malang Sarr and Kai Havertz joined for just over £ 200 million.

But they’re not done yet and the Blues boss has his eye on two more arrivals, one on the way.

Edouard Mendy will join imminently from Rennes to compete with Kepa Arrizabalaga for the number 1 jersey.

Chelsea would like to sign Declan Rice

However, it is West Ham rice that Lampard achieved his main goal for the remaining weeks in the transfer window.

The England international was at the heart of his transfer goals, but the Hammers beat their London rivals.

But with the window rolling to the last day, that position may change as they struggle to sell off their high earnings.

David Moyes has made strengthening defense a priority but cannot find buyers for the likes of Felipe Anderson, Manuel Lanzini and Sebastien Haller.

However, West Ham are doing their best to keep control over Rice and have valued him up to £ 80 million.

After the Chelsea arrivals, their squad looks particularly bloated and Lampard knows he has to let someone go in an attempt to balance the scores a bit.

Jorginho could be let go this summer

First on his exit list is Jorginho, who had lost his regular spot in the first team last season and could suffer from the added competition.

After Maurizio Sarri was sacked from Juventus, the links at his departure cooled, so another midfielder was told he can leave in the form of Tiemoue Bakayoko.

The Frenchman has already agreed to move to Milan but the details have yet to be clarified but it seems likely that he will move there with another loan with a buy option.

Rice would most likely join up to play defense and with Silva and Sarr already on board, Andreas Christensen could be the one to make his way into the transfer window.

Chelsea would like to find a buyer for Danny Drinkwater, but there would be very few suitors to withdraw his £ 100,000 a week salary after his disastrous loan spells at Aston Villa and Burnley.

But if someone takes a bet, the Blues would let him go without much fighting.
