On Thursday, ex-BG coach Johan Roijakkers and his new team Brose Bamberg passed the test at Bayern Munich with a clear 31 point difference. The Bavarians, who start the Euroleague at the end of the week, had hardly less grace on Saturday in the next test against BG Göttingen. The violets buckled in the empty Audi Dome with 66:95 (38:46), but were two points “better” than Roijakkers’ team.

For the violets, Munich was an instructive test. In the end, the BGers, who had only nine players, lost their strength. The team of coach Roel Moors was able to balance the game for seven minutes before Bayern stepped up the pace and put in a 16: 4 series with a quarter of 32:19.

The second quarter was the best from the BG point of view. After a triple from Aubrey Dawkins to 24:34, the new Bayern coach Andrea Trinchieri took a break (13th), but it didn’t really work, because the Göttingen fought closer (32: 38/17th). At halftime, the BG was only eight points behind (38:46).

After the move, Bayern showed their strengths. Up to the 27th minute (59:49), the BG almost kept up before the Munich team slowly moved on. It took almost five minutes in the final quarter before Jorge Gutiérrez scored the first points for Göttingen.

BG Coach Moors: “This result comes at the right time. We don’t have enough weapons and we don’t have enough players in the squad right now. We panicked a lot. That was a very good lesson for some players to learn to read the opponent’s physique. ”Next BG test: October 6th against Aalst.

32:19, 14:19 – 22:12, 27:16. Weidemann 16/3 Dreier, Nelson 3/1, Gutiérrez 13/1, Vargas 4, Odiase 10 (10 Rebounds), Mönninghoff 5/1, Jackson 6, Dawkins 9/1, Turudic.

: Zipser 19/2, Baldwin 14/2, Johnson 12, Reynolds 11.
