“We are in the same boat” – Grigor Dimitrov reveals how Novak Djokovic and others are coping with the consequences of Coronavirus

The tennis world was rocked when four players, including world number 1 Novak Djokovic, were infected with the coronavirus in June. Among the four players was former world number 3 Grigor Dimitrov. All of them recovered after being in solitary confinement.

All of this happened during the Adria Tour. It was a charity tour organized by Novak Djokovic. But the tour lacked basic security measures to prevent the spread of the virus. Needs such as masks and social distancing were discarded. Djokovic later apologized for the event and said it all happened with good intentions.

In a recent interview with Sky Sports, Dimitrov talked about the virus and its effects. Self-isolation, in particular, had an impact on the Bulgarian’s mind. And he spoke with Djokovic some time ago to clarify everything.

“I talked to Novak some time ago now. We’re in the same boat right now, but we’re almost back to 100 percent. “ Dimitrov said

They both talked about their well-being and went back to court. They are trying to practice as much as possible and are waiting to see what happens next.

“The timing is not comfortable for anyone, but from what I’ve heard everything is fine. We are all back on the pitch. We are trying to practice as much as possible and now we are waiting to hear what the next step will be for us. “ Dimitrov said

The US Open for both is unclear. But Djokovic looks good enough to play but Dimitrov still has some symptoms despite the player testing negative. He is concerned about the long-term effects the virus may have on his body.

But since testing negative, Dimitrov has recently appeared in the Ultimate Tennis Showdown (UTS). He played three games, winning one and losing two. Let’s hope Dimitrov stays healthy and roars back on the pitch.
