Bet of the party between the numbers one and two of the rankings was the lead in the Premier League Darts. Durrant is now taking over from Van Gerwen.
After a 2-1 lead for the Dutchman, the game quickly turned in the direction of the Englishman. Duzza lack Mighty Mike with a nice 167 finish in the fifth leg and with a 14-darter and a 90 finish he went away to 6-2.
It became 6-3, after the number one in the world managed to narrow the gap via double 8. Van Gerwen, however, had to break Durrant twice more, but did not succeed. His British opponent ended the match with a 14-darter, which brought his average to over 104.
