Tennis player Karolína Plíšková will start the program on Monday at the US Open on the court of Arthur Ash, which is not only the largest court in the Flushing Meadows complex, but also the largest tennis stadium in the world. The tournament number one will face Anhelina Kalinin from Ukraine in front of the empty stands from 18:00 CEST.

In addition to the biggest ranking favorite and finalist from 2016, four more Czechs will present themselves on the opening day of the New York Grand Slam. Petra Kvitová, six, will be second on court number 17 against Romanian Irina Beguová, and Marie Bouzková, Markéta Vondroušová and Tereza Martincová will also play on Monday.
The organizers have already published a partial program for Tuesday, so far only for the two largest stadiums. Karolína Muchová with two-time tournament winner Venus Williams from the USA will start the so-called night session on Arthur Ash’s court at 1:00 CEST.
