Manchester United player Phil Jones was the target of ridicule on social media.
BOLASPORT.COM – Twitter has apologized to Phil Jones and Manchester United after one of their official accounts appeared to be mocking the defender.
On Wednesday (12/8/2020) evening local time, one of the official accounts from Twitter, @TwitterUK, made a tweet that was considered mocking Manchester United player, Phil Jones.
The teaser reads “Mention a better football player than Phil Jones.”
Shortly after the broadcast, @TwitterUK immediately deleted the tweet.

The decision to delete was taken because many parties were offended by the upload.
One of the parties that was reportedly offended was Manchester United.
The team that occupies the third place in the 2019-2020 Premier League is not happy with the nature of the post.
Man United feel Jones has received frequent ridicule on social media and they judge that this is enough.
