Tom Brady can’t resist zinging Colts with fake crowd commentary

You can take out the New England quarterback, but you apparently can’t take New England out of the quarterback.

Tom Brady is now with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but he couldn’t resist a hit on a former rival from his Patriots days when asked to play with false noise on Friday.

At 43, Brady still plays the hits, it seems. For years, the Colts would have made noise to increase fans and make it difficult for opponents.

But let’s break this daddy joke down a bit more, shall we?

Go back on that joke

The RCA Dome was demolished in 2008. The last time Brady played at the former Indianapolis Colts home was in 2007 – 4,681 days ago.

For more context, Brady’s new right tackle Tristan Wirfs was 8 years old at the time. Brady returns here, looking for materials.

We bet salty old vet Bruce Arians got a kick out, at least.

Did Brady’s rival write his jokes for him?

You might never guess who could have provided Brady with his gear.

No one other than … Peyton Manning ?!

Check out this, from a January episode of “Peyton’s Places” on ESPN, with Brady and Manning revisiting their old Dome shootings:

“You couldn’t hear a thing,” Brady said of the game in the Dome.

“Yeah, we didn’t make a sound either,” Manning said unmoved.

“You are full of [expletive]Brady said.

Moments of fun.

Brady has a crush on his new trainer

So that might also have served as a more fun shot at Brady’s new quarterback coach Clyde Christensen. See, Christensen was a longtime Colts aide during Brady’s first decade in New England.

The two may have been longtime fighters, but now seem to be building a nice bond in Tampa. But part of Brady’s bonding method seems to give his new trainer a bit of a laugh along the way.

Shot: “I was telling Coach Clyde the must have taken this out of his basement for today’s practice. We had a lot of fun with it.

Chaser: “It was a joke, everyone. I just want this to be clear. “

Yes, Tom. We know.

New rivalry on the pitch? No

And finally, the Bucs and Colts are unfortunately not playing this year. Not in the RCA Dome, the old Tampa Stadium, or any place that no longer exists.

It was a fun exchange. And a sign that Brady can still show a little bit of personality every now and then when he wants to. Even though his old friend could have given him the line earlier this year.
