Spar Girona transfers the pivot Iho Lpez to GEiEG Uni

Spar Girona and GEiEG Uni have reached an agreement for the transfer of the pivot Iho López (1997, 1.89 m) to the team of Joan Pau Torralba of the Women’s League 2. La blanenca, who returns to Girona after four years of experience in the NCAA I in the United States, has spent two seasons in white due to a serious traffic accident that suffered in 2018 and, thus, will be able to take shooting starting the course with the subsidiary.

In the coming days, López will undergo an exhaustive review by Spar Girona with the intention of assessing how he is physically. The pivot landed at Uni in the cadet stage until making his LF1 debut in the 2013-14 season. The next, he reached a historic milestone for the first team with the first League. In addition, he has also stood out in the Spanish national team with three gold medals in Europeans (2013, 2015 and 2017) and a silver in the 2017 World Cup. In the summer of 2018 he played with the Spanish national team U23, coached by Eric Surís.

With the incorporation of López, GEiEG Uni already has nine confirmed players, -Vane González, Núria Bagaria, Helena Condom, Mireia Daura, Camila Martínez, Faustine Parra, Laia Moya and Carla Jou- who will start the pre-season on August 19th.
