Leeds will miss Cavani
Veteran Uruguayan striker Edinson Cavani is reportedly traveling to Portugal with heavyweights Benfica.
After his release by Paris Saint-Germain, the 33-year-old was available for free – and Leeds was keen to bolster its stocks before entering the Premier League.
However, BeIN Sports correspondent Tancredi Palmeri claims the deal is all but closed for Cavani to join Benfica in what is expected to be a two-year deal.
He has scored 353 goals in 586 club games and 50 goals in 116 games for his country.

King set on new throne?
PSG are among a number of clubs reportedly interested in Bournemouth forward Joshua King.
The 28-year-old is likely to leave the Cherries after being relegated from the Premier League. The Sun reports that the club is targeting £ 25m.
With one year of contract remaining, Bournemouth will likely benefit from the Norwegian star rather than losing him for free after the next season.
And there’s no shortage of interest, with a full stake in ten TEN Premier League clubs as well as four in Italy including rivals Lazio and Roma from Rome.
King was about to join Manchester United in January but a £ 20m offer was turned down before the Red Devils signed Odion Ighalo instead.
Newcastle, Everton and Brighton were all heavily linked to moves for King.
Gunmen need a new glove maker
Arsenal are considering signing an additional goalkeeper to cover for injured glove maker Bernd Leno.
Leno suffered knee ligament strain in an unfortunate collision with Brighton striker Neal Maupay in June – his return date is unknown.
Arsenal will send Leno for additional scans and get a second opinion to clarify how long he will be ruled out.
Emiliano Martinez has shown an incredible performance in Leno’s absence and is expected to start the new season as the goalkeeper of choice.
The 27-year-old Argentinian has been loaned six times by the Gunners but is likely to receive a contract renewal.
