Sarrià continues the planning of the second season in the Silver Honor Division. The club kicks off the preseason this week with some new faces for Salva Puig. The arrivals of Aleix Toro (Burgos), Aleix Martínez (Calella) and the return of Guillem Lozano are already known, the discharge of Oriol Masmiquel took place yesterday. The 33-year-old pivot joins after a stoppage time. Masmiquel had previously played for Sarrià in the National League, as well as Bordils in Plata.
The 20-21 season will be very different from the previous one as a result of the restructuring that the Federation has done. It should be remembered that La Plata has been divided into two groups of 10 to compensate for the increase in teams caused by the stoppage last year due to the pandemic, where there were no declines. The new competition system states that a first round will be played in a double round. The top five from each group will play a second phase for the title, while the last five will play another for permanence. The second phase will also be played in a double round, but the results of the first will be dragged against rivals in the same group. The first two of the group for the title will go up to Asobal while in the one of the salvation there will be, in principle, five descents.
