The Rockets are clearly the best team in this matchup, but with Harden resting and Gordon out, they’re not at their best. That shouldn’t matter much, however, against a weaker Spurs side who are also somewhat understaffed.
Spurs are only 1-4 in their last five games against the Rockets, although they have gone 4-2 since the restart of the season. Houston is also 4-1 since the restart, beating both the Milwaukee Bucks and the Los Angeles Lakers in that stretch.
The Rockets are expected to handle business on Tuesday night even without Harden, as long as Westbrook fits. Get the ROCKET (+135) to win outright tonight.
Line / Against Spread (ATS)
The ROCKET +3.5 (-110) they are 4-1 ATS in the last five. San Antonio (-3.5, -110) is only 1-2 ATS in their last three games after starting 3-0, but Spurs have kept games relatively close since the restart.
Anyway, I go with the ROCKET +3.5 (-110) here simply because they are playing good basketball.
Above / Below (O / U)
Over / Under is relatively high tonight, coming in at 237.5. The total has gone Under in six of the last nine games of the Rockets and in seven of the last nine games against the Spurs, the Under team has entered.
Without Harden, the Rockets’ offense will understandably take some of it, especially with Gordon out. For this reason, I am taking the UNDER 237.5 (-110).
