“Zemgale news” reports that “Zemgale” / LLU and also “Zemgale Juniors” units are pouring sweat into ice training from this Monday. The second of these teams will start in the Youth Development Hockey League (JAHL) next season.

Students of Jelgava Hockey School Buncis and Krastenbergs are also involved in ice training together with “Zemgalians”.

Buncis spent last season on the National College Sports Association (NCAA) Arizona State University team, while Krastenberg played on the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL) team at Willing Nailers, although she previously signed with the American Hockey League (AHL) team at Wilkes-Barrens Pines. .

The portal also reports that former “Kurbads” players Mārtiņš Porejs, Aleksandrs Galkins and Kirils Tambijevs have participated in the training. The last two have already represented the Jelgava team during their career.

It is also known that next season in the Optibet hockey league will not be Zemgale / LLU legionaries Alexander Pavlenko and Semyon Bukarev, who went to the team of the Russian Supreme Hockey League (VHL) in Neftekamsk “Toros”. Meanwhile, Czech Sebastian Janda has decided to continue his career in France in the second league club “Chambery”, but Lithuanian Egidijs Binkulis has returned to his homeland to join “Kaunas Hockey”.

Last season, the “Zemgalians” ranked fifth among eight teams in the OHL championship.
