NHL players are responding to the NHLPA’s announcement that teams will not be participating in playoff games on Thursday and Friday

After reports surfaced that the NHL has decided that the Stanley Cup playoff games should be postponed, the NHLPA has ruled that players will not play on Thursday or Friday. The decision came after a push from their ranks after Milwaukee Bucks decided not to play as a protest tool and to raise awareness of racial injustice and police brutality.

The NHL was the only major sports league in North America that didn’t postpone any games on Wednesday due to NBA, WNBA, MLB and MLS players also being canceled.

Sports related players showed support for the bucks, united in a message of change, justice and equality.

The league has been criticized by the players for its initial lack of action, and many questioned their commitment to the cause.

Some players also proclaimed the league. Evander Kane has been pronounced “offensive” on social media.

He also tweeted that the Hockey Diversity Alliance had asked the league to suspend all games on Thursday.

Matt Dumba and Anthony Duclair also tweeted the HDA’s Call to action.
