Messi has refused corona test before training starts

Dhe fronts between the willing Lionel Messi and his club FC Barcelona are apparently hardening further. According to consistent media reports, the world footballer stayed away from the mandatory corona tests. The 33-year-old did not meet his appointment on Sunday at 10:15, the Spanish media reported unanimously. This means that the Argentine should not take part in the first training session in preparation for the new season on Monday at 5.30 p.m. in the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper training center. After the missed test, that’s loud
prohibited by the security rules of the Primera División.

Last Tuesday, Barcelona officially announced that Messi had informed the club that he wanted to move. Since then, there has been a dispute over a clause with which Messi wants to terminate his contract, which runs until summer 2021. Barcelona are of the opinion that the clause expired on June 10th, the lawyers of the 33-year-old Argentine claim that the clause is valid because of the corona-related extended season.

There is a threat of a dispute in court, after all, it is about whether a possible new club will have to pay the fixed transfer fee of 700 million euros. It was therefore expected that Messi would not be indebted to the club so that the club would not be able to invoke such breaches of contract in any subsequent lawsuits.

The favorite for Messi’s next club is Manchester City with team manager Josep Guardiola, who won the Champions League twice with him as Barça coach. Recently, Barcelona had repeatedly emphasized that they wanted to keep Messi.
