Harry Maguire gives an emotional interview

Harry Maguire said he was scared for his life and will not apologize for an accident in Myknonos, during an emotional interview with the BBC.

The Manchester United captain was sentenced to a suspended prison sentence of 21 months and 10 days after being found guilty of assault, resisting arrest and attempted bribery following his arrest on the Greek island last Thursday.

In his first TV appearance after the fight, Maguire broke up when he told BBC sports editor Dan Roan that he had feared for his life.

“It was awful, it’s not something I want to do again, I don’t wish it on anyone.

“This is the first time I’ve been in a prison.”

“I don’t feel like I have to apologize to anyone – an apology is something you give when you’ve done something wrong.

“I’m sorry to be in the situation. Obviously the situation made it difficult. I play for one of the biggest clubs in the world, so I’m sorry I put the fans and the club through that. “
