Manchester United star Andreas Pereira is in talks to leave the club after losing his starting spot at Old Trafford.

The Brazilian was a regular in the first half of the season but the arrival of Bruno Fernandes from Sporting Lisbon, as well as the return from Paul Pogba’s injury, limited Pereira’s appearances.

The midfielder has only made two appearances as a substitute in the Premier League since the competition resumed and managed to reach just 26 minutes in the Europa League against LASK, despite United having an overall advantage of five goals.

This is convinced Pereira that he has to leave Old Trafford for regular first team football and Esporte Interativo says the midfielder is now in the process of “leaving” the club.

Despite his playing time difficulties, Solskjaer tried to convince Pereira to stay and assured the midfielder that there was a place for him in the club.

However, Pereira has already bided his time for a shot at the Theater of Dreams and it would appear he is unwilling to step back after joining the squad in 2019.

Valencia, Pereira’s former club, is said to be interested, while a number of Spanish and Portuguese sides have also made offers.

It’s unclear what United’s assessment of Pereira is, but the Red Devils could do with every penny more as they aim for a deal for Dortmund superstar Jadon Sancho.

The Germans want £ 108 million for the England winger but United are unwilling to stretch that far and are desperately trying to negotiate a lower commission for the former Manchester City ace.

United also want a midfielder and central defender this summer but will need to raise funds through player sales.
