Manchester United delivered the double increase in injuries for the Europa League quarter-finals

Manchester United defenders Diogo Dalot and Victor Lindelof trained with the first team on Saturday and look ready to head to Germany for the knockout stages of the Europa League.

The United players arrived in Carrington on Saturday morning for their final training before leaving for Cologne for the quarter-final against Copenhagen.

Dalot had missed the last 16 second legs against LASK with injury, while Lindelof was in doubt and played no role in the 2-1 win at Old Trafford.

But sources told MEN Sport that both players, along with another doubt in Phil Jones, were in full training and arrived at the same time as the rest of the team. Luke Shaw and Axel Tuanzebe, who were not named to United’s 30-man squad for the rest of the Europa League squad, have not trained as they continue their injury rehabilitation at home.

Shaw suffered an ankle injury in United’s draw with Southampton in the Premier League last month, while Tuanzebe hasn’t understood since the restart.

Copenhagen busted Istanbul Basaksehir in the round of 16 to arrange a match with United, but the Basaksehir manager canceled out the Danish club’s chances of causing a reversal in the quarter-finals.

“Based on our and Copenhagen performances, neither they nor Basaksehir have an earthly chance against Manchester United,” said Okan Buruk.

“Sure, it’s football and nobody can predict anything, but Manchester United are far ahead of both Basaksehir and Copenhagen. But I wish them, Copenhagen, the best of luck and I hope they beat United and progress. “
