Arsenal are back in football action this afternoon as they take on Liverpool in the FA Community Shield.
The Gunners want to improve on a disappointing eighth place finish in the Premier League last season, even though they defeated Chelsea in the FA Cup final.
Premier League champions Liverpool offer Mikel Arteta’s side a perfect trial by fire before the 2020/21 season kicks off next month.

Before the Wembley clash, we thought we’d check out the main Arsenal stories before the showdown. Here’s your morning summary below.
Triple appointment announced
Arsenal made a big announcement ahead of the Community Shield clash with Liverpool.
The Gunners confirmed that several changes have been made to Arteta’s coaching and backroom staff ahead of the new campaign.
Andreas Georgson and Miguel Molina joined the club from Brentford and Atletico Madrid respectively. They will be part of Arteta’s coaching team after the exits of Freddie Ljungberg and Sal Bibbo.
Carlos Cuesta also made the switch from Juventus and Jordan Reece replaced Chris Morgan in the physiotherapist’s room.
Arsenal goal Houssem Aouar responded to transfer links with the Gunners.
The Lyon midfielder has attracted attention recently and Arsenal are one of the teams looking to the 22-year-old.
But for now he remains shy about his future at Lyon, with the director speaking in an interview with L’Equipe.
“I haven’t left yet. So I didn’t ask that question, “the midfielder said, before reiterating that he was still a Lyon player.
Aouar, however, added “this is very difficult” when asked what he intends to do next.

Arteta makes the transfer decision
Arsenal boss MIkel Arteta has decided that Emiliano Martinez is in excess of the requirements in the Emirates.
This is according to The Athletic, which says Arsenal is willing to part ways with the 27-year-old goalkeeper.
The report says Arteta has made it clear to Martinez that Bernd Leno is the club’s number one goalkeeper going forward.
