LISBON – Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) failed to bring home the 2019-2020 Champions League trophy because in the match it was defeated by Bayern Munich with a narrow score of 0-1. This of course made the President of PSG, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, feel disappointed and sad.
Since being acquired by Al-Khelaifi, PSG has actually invested heavily in recruiting players. Because, they have a goal to become one of the best football clubs in the world.
To make this happen, PSG would have to win the most prestigious football tournament in Europe first, namely the Champions League, as proof. Therefore, they also brought top players like Neymar Jr and Kylian Mbappe.

PSG actually made history this season. Because, this is the first time for Les Parisiens to appear in a funal Champions League party. Unfortunately, PSG failed to convert these opportunities to win the Big Ear trophy.
“We are sad. We do not forget that we have done great things this season. In the final, we lost 1-0 but we should be able to score two or three goals,” said Al-Khelaifi, as quoted from Goal, Monday (24/8/2020).
“It was very close. I’m very proud of my players, we had a great season, a great tournament here. We have everything we need to win, but that’s football,” he continued.
