English opener Rory Burns posted it on social media after making a calming gesture to the Pakistani outfield players despite being cheaply sacked for the second time in the Test.
Burns was caught by the Pakistani bowler Mohammad Abbas for 10 (28 balls). The hosts fidgeted 22-1 in their second inning, pursuing a tough goal of 277 runs to win.
The sailor tucked the left-handed man around the wicket on his hind leg, and Burns checked the decision unsuccessfully.
The Pakistani side gave the batsman a vocal goodbye, only Burns put a finger over his mouth in a muting gesture.

Given that Burns had also lost his wicket cheaply in the first innings with just four runs, many fans quickly accused him of arrogance.
England were 55-1 at lunchtime and still needed 222 runs to reach the target of 277 in the first test at Old Trafford.
Rory Burns sledging the outfield player after his release is almost the stupidest thing I’ve ever seen.

Rory Burns, who scored fewer points in both innings together than Yasir Shah scored today, is after the elimination in the Pakistani team. ????

Yasir Shah carried out a valuable tourist slap attack to expand the guide over 250.
Yasir made a rapid fire 33 out of just 24 balls, including five fours and one six. In a brief session, Pakistan added 32 runs in 16 balls before being sacked for 169 in their second inning.
Only twice has a team chased more than 200 to win in the fourth innings of a Test at Old Trafford, with England scoring 294-4 against New Zealand in 2008 and 231-3 against the West Indies on Manchester soil in 2004.
England are trying to complete the first Test in each of their last five series.
This is the first of three test competitions in which Pakistan has not lost a series to England since 2010.
