Emmanuel Acho amplifies the hatred of Joe Judge: 2-14 with a ‘fool’ plan

Add another to the list of former NFL players who think Giants head coach Joe Judge’s old-fashioned style of training is banana.

Appeared on Fox Sports on Tuesday, former Eagles linebacker Emmanuel Acho lambasted the way Judge has been leading the Giants’ practice since training camps began last month. Calling his tactic “dumb” and “fool,” Acho said that Judge’s manner is typically used on children.

“Giants fans, on behalf of all smart people everywhere, I apologize for your 2-14 record this season,” said Acho, who was on the Giants’ practice squad in 2013. “I have to go ahead and apologize. And it’s not your fault, Giants fans. It’s not your fault that you’ve dedicated yourself to an organization that hired a coach who instills silly practices.

“I don’t know if fool is a word, but the practices Joe Judge instills are so foolish that fool is the only word that fits. This is the only word that will fit crime. “

Acho went on to say that most professional athletes are “inherently motivated”, but if they are not, they are extremely motivated by “money, fame, women”.

“All of these things work,” he says. “What doesn’t work is fear-based motivation: ‘Hey, if you’re wrong you all have to put up with the ramp. If you’re wrong, you’re all doing wind sprints. These are tactics to be used on children.

Hall of Fame tight end Shannon Sharpe, three-time Super Bowl winner, took to Twitter Monday to voice her opinion on the matter after reports that Judge was giving his players tricks for committing errors have become widespread.

“This is not going to end well,” he wrote.

“Never,” said former Patriots tight end Ben Watson, who played under judge’s direction in New England last season before announcing his second retirement in March. “Be. Your. Self. There is only one [Bill Belichick]. “

The Giants had their second practice in the pads on Tuesday and the judge not only coached star running back Saquon Barkley in front of everyone, but he also had a goal-line tackle drill in which cornerback Corey Ballentine was manhandled. Ballentine ended up finishing the workout and Judge maintained her coaching style and her use of this exercise.
