“Distraught” Ryan Fitzpartrick leaves the field before the Dolphins scrum

The Dolphins will practice Saturday at Hard Rock Stadium without their alleged starting quarterback.

Via several journalists present at the session, Ryan Fitzpatrick left the training ground before the start of the session. This is how Armando Salguero from Miami herald Describes it: “Before the Dolphins began training, coach Brian Flores just pulled quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick off the pitch with his arm around him. Fitz looked distraught. No injury. (Apparently the tweet has been deleted; others have posted similar tweets, however.)

Fitzpatrick recently missed a day for personal reasons, which initially sparked speculation that he might be gone longer than that.

Without Fitzpatrick, the Dolphins have two quarterbacks: rookie Tua Tagovailoa, fifth pick in the 2020 Draft, and Josh Rosen, tenth overall in 2018.

The Dolphins haven’t added a fourth quarterback after Fitzpatrick missed a day of practice. If / when they do, it could be a sign of something. We don’t know what at this point, but something.
