SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) – Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry on Sunday said he was thrilled to see the sport thrive upon their return after being derailed by the COVID-19 crisis in March.

The three-time National Basketball Association (NBA) champion is an avid golfer and was just a handful of people who took part in the action at the PGA Championship at TPC Harding Park, where fans weren’t allowed on the court due to the pandemic.

“100%,” he told Reuters when asked if he was happy to review golf.

“Sport in general is going well.”

Curry will host its PGA Tour event at TPC Harding Park next year.

Curry, who took pictures and congratulated the players after hitting the tee shot, said he didn’t know who was going to win the tournament, which had a tight ranking at the time.

“We’ll see. That’s why we’re here, looking like everyone else,” he said.

The NBA resumed its season last month with the top 22 teams playing in a bio-safety bubble in Orlando, but the Warriors weren’t among them.
