Chris Hogan quickly wowed the Jets during training camp

Highlights of Sunday Jets practice:

Hogan shows the best

WR Chris Hogan had his best day since joining the Jets. Working with the first team for the first time, Hogan made several takes, including a nice one-handed grip on a crossing route. Hogan impressed the Jets with how quickly he picked things up.

Separate

Quarterback Sam Darnold had a bad interception, his second in two days after starting camp cleanly. It was a play pass and Darnold put some pressure on him and forced a ball into midfield where goalkeeper Bradley McDougald removed it.

Caught my attention

RB Frank Gore’s work ethic is legendary. At 37, he continues to impress. During special team times, when he has nothing to do, he heads to an adjoining field and performs sprints. He is sometimes joined by teammates, but on Sunday he was alone doing his job.

Medical report

WR Breshad Perriman did not train on Sunday after feeling knee discomfort. It is expected Monday. OT Chuma Edoga left training due to a calf injury. LB Patrick Onwuasor injured his knee on Saturday but had no torn ligaments. WR Denzel Mims (hamstrings), CB Brian Poole (dehydration), CB Pierre Desir (hamstrings), S Matthias Farley (hamstrings), DE John Franklin-Myers (groin), LB James Burgess (rear), OT Conor McDermott (knee), DE Jabari Zuniga (quad), WR Vyncint Smith (core) and RB Josh Adams (hamstrings) were all eliminated. OL Cameron Clark (shoulder) and TE Bronson Kaufusi (hamstrings) have resumed training.
