Chelsea have been linked with a move for the West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice during the summer, and now the Daily Star reports that the club is moving the chess pieces to fund a £ 65 million offer.

Jorginho could be the high-profile victim of coach Frank Lampard’s reconstruction, with the 28-year-old ready to return to Serie A, perhaps to reunite with Maurizio Sarri at Juventus.

If Rice arrives, Lampard would not need both Jorginho and N’Golo Kante in his squad, and it looks like the Italian international might be the one to make room.
