BOLASPORT.COM – FIFA’s rules regarding naturalized players are the main obstacle to the plan to naturalize Brazilian players for the 2021 U-20 World Cup.

The Indonesian football universe is being stirred up by the entry of five young Brazilian players to the three League 1 2020 clubs.

They are Thiago Apolinario (19) and Maike Henrique Irine de Lima (19) who joined Persija Jakarta, Pedro Bartoli Jardim (18) and Hugo Guilherme Correa Grillo (19) who entered Arema FC, and Rober Junior Rodrigues Santos (19) who joined Madura United.

The arrival of the five young foreign players was horrendous because it was suspected that there was an agenda behind their presence.

The five players are predicted to be players who are included in the PSSI naturalization plan to strengthen the Indonesian U-19 national team in the 2021 U-20 World Cup.

The suspicion was even stronger after the Persija Jakarta coach, Sergio Farias, stated that the two new foreign players were indeed players brought in by PSSI.

“They are young players who will train for the project from PSSI,” said Sergio Farias.

“These players are at the same club as my son in Brazil,” said Farias, also from Brazil.
