Paris Saint-Germain was offered Arsenal’s Hector Bellerin with Ligue 1 champions looking for a right-back, France reportedly.

Mikel Arteta is in the process of overseeing a full team overhaul as he aims to bring the Gunners back to the top.

After finishing out of the top six in the Premier League for the first time in 25 years, it is clear how much the North London club has declined in recent years.

Arteta provided his former team with a spark of hope by starting to instill a stronger mentality in the team and despite a poor league result, he still managed to lead Arsenal to their 14th FA Cup victory over Chelsea.

Gabriel Magalhaes is set to become the Gunners’ second big purchase of the summer window after Willian’s capture on a free transfer.

In order to raise money for more revenue, it is likely that they will have to sell a number of players first.

According to RMC Sport, Bellerin is one of the players likely to leave the club and his services have been offered at PSG.

The Ligue 1 champions are in the market for a right-back and are currently exploring several options to improve the position.

Thomas Tuchel’s side lost their first major European trophy after a 1-0 defeat to Bayern Munich in Sunday’s Champions League final.

Despite the defeat, the French club appears to be heading in the right direction and represents an interesting option for incoming players.

Bellerin has yet to return to his best after ruptured anterior cruciate ligament in January 2019 and after suffering from a hamstring problem last season, he made just 15 Premier League appearances in the 2019/20 season.

However, with the news that Ainsley Maitland-Niles will join the Wolves, if Bellerin were to also depart from the Emirates, Cedric Soares and Calum Chambers would be the only Arsenal players able to play as a right-back on the first-team squad.
