Arsenal have a tough streak of Premier League first matches to negotiate, playing against Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United all away from home in their first seven games.

Mikel Arteta has a solid platform to build upon after finishing the season on a positive note with a surprise FA Cup win, but the tough three days away could dent the initial momentum they were looking for for the 2020/21 season. In the Premier League, the Gunners have not won an away game against a “big-six” team in their last 25 attempts.

A trip to newly promoted Fulham is their opening day appointment, followed by another London derby in the Emirates against West Ham.

Fans will be able to return to the stadiums when Arsenal face Tottenham in the first North London derby of the season, on 5 December, with the corresponding meeting at Emirates set for 13 March. Arsenal will finish the season with a home match against Brighton on 23 May.
