Arsenal deal with Ceballos explained | GiveMeSport

Arsenal had great success with Dani Ceballos.

The midfielder arrived on loan from Real Madrid in the summer transfer window and has become an integral part of Mikel Arteta’s squad.

He made 37 appearances for the Gunners during the campaign, scoring twice and recording two assists.

He played in every single game after the lockout, including the full 90 minutes in the club’s FA Cup final win over Chelsea at Wembley.

And its future has been the subject of much debate.

Arsenal do not have the ability to turn Ceballos’ loan into a permanent contract and may very well return to the Spanish club if an agreement is not reached between the two clubs.

And Athletic have now posted an update on the 24-year-old’s future.

The two clubs are said to be in talks for a possible extension, as Arteta wants it to stay in North London.

However, they are not in the financial position to sign it permanently after the COVID-19 outbreak.

As a result, they will attempt to keep it on loan instead of trying to keep it permanently.

Harry Sherlock from GIVEMESPORT says …

Ceballos has been a key member of the club’s roster this season.

In his 18 league games, he averaged 1.2 key passes, for WhoScored, along with 1.1 dribbles, while suffering 1.5 fouls per game.

He also has an average of 87.9% completed passes, 1.9 tackles and 1.3 interceptions per game.

It is very similar to the glue that holds Arsenal’s midfield together and has all the capabilities in the world when it comes to moving the ball and even winning it back.

Keeping it must be a priority; both on loan and outright transfer.
