Meanwhile, Richmond couples Dylan Grimes and Nick Vlastuin are set to challenge the AFL Tribunal in writing after receiving fines of $ 750 and $ 500, respectively, during Saturday’s Dreamtime game.
Under the 2020 rules, players contesting financial penalties are not required to appear in person.
A total of six players voted for the tribunal after Match Review Officer Michael Christian submitted his results.
Ed Langdon (Melbourne) and Lachlan Murphy (Adelaide) will both contest dangerous fines, including by filing in writing.
Sam Powell-Pepper pleaded not guilty at the beginning of his hearing in the tribunal.
After a long hearing, the jury found Powell-Pepper not guilty.
“The jury is clearly not satisfied with the balance of the chances that Powell-Pepper’s behavior was unreasonable under all circumstances, so the jury did not find him guilty of gross conduct charges,” said Tribunal Chairman David Jones QC .
“The jury finds that McEvoy is a big ruckman and thinks he leaned over and turned away. His arms were released and the judges believed he was riding the device.
“Given all the circumstances, the judges believe that Powell-Pepper carried out a good attack. It all happened in a split second. The jury found that there was no excessive violence involved. “
