3 takeaways from day one of Buffalo Bills training camp practices

Buffalo Bills Training Camp 2020 practices are officially underway from Orchard Park. It took us a bit longer to get here thanks to the altered offseason due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, but nonetheless we have reverted to padded practices for bills.

With that, here are three takeaways from Monday’s practice:

Apparently comfortable players

First and foremost, the Bills public relations staff seemed to suppress what we know about training camp this year. Typically, depth graph reports, exercise details and more are discovered at camp. Monday showed that the team wouldn’t allow it since the fans aren’t around to watch. But while we don’t really get that in-depth insight into the work the Bills have done in the offseason, we can be sure the players are feeling comfortable.

After practice, linebacker Tremaine Edmunds spoke by videoconference. He reflected on the practice that was and had only positive things to say about stepping out onto the field on pads for the first time since the Bills’ playoff loss to the Texans.

“Dude, it felt good, it felt good,” Edmunds said. “I think the guys were eager to get out there, to feel the energy there. I think the coaches did a really good job of making everything competitive. I think the guys were competing there and right after that we got better. I think it was a productive day.
