3 takeaways from Day 7 of Buffalo Bills training camp practices

After a delay in their offseason schedule due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, Bills players have finally started to hit the pitch and punch each other. With preseason games still being canceled, every day of training held at Orchard Park is all the more important before the team’s season opener against the Jets on September 13.

After an odd weekend that involved false positive COVID-19 testing for Bills that kept the guys out of the pitch, the team was back on the training ground with (almost) everyone. At least everyone in good health. With that, here are three takeaways from Day 7 of Bills training camp practices:

Stefon Diggs is scary

Oh oh, the Bills had their first… really, really scary training camp moment, but according to the sound, the fear was avoided. According to… Everyone Under the Sun, wide receiver Stefon Diggs stepped onto the pitch and coaches rushed to him during practice. Kind of a nightmare for the Bills.

According to ESPN, there was a problem with Diggs’ right leg. Diggs appeared and returned there, luckily (for the bills). Radio WGR-550 observed that Diggs might not even have missed a rep, that’s how quickly he came back to action. Still, keep Diggs’ right leg in mind. Maybe the bills give him a day off Tuesday? Or later could something explode? While clearly talented, Diggs has had his fair share of bumps and bruises with the Vikings. He’s played at least 13 games in each of his first five seasons, however, Diggs has never played in a total of 16 games, so he will usually miss an outing or two. Maybe the Bills training staff can turn this around for him?
