3 takeaways from day 6 of Buffalo Bills training camp practices

After a delay in their offseason schedule due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, Bills players have finally started to hit the pitch and punch each other. With preseason games still being canceled, every day of training held at Orchard Park is all the more important before the team’s season opener against the Jets on September 13.

On Sunday, the Bills had a weird one on their sixth day of training at training camp. Here are three takeaways from Day 6 of Bills Boot Camp practices:

Everyone missed the practice

Lack of turnout was the issue at stake on Sunday for the bills. And not just because of the obvious, but because of the rather odd reason why things turned out the way they did.

Over the weekend, the NFL released a statement that league teams were affected by an issue with COVID-19 test results. The problem comes from a lab in New Jersey. Buffalo general manager Brandon Beane said one of them is used by teams in the Northeastern United States and has around 10-11 clubs. Bills have been included. The problem was, the lab was producing a bunch of false positives. Which means gamers would have COVID-19, but not. For the Bills, it was confirmed that quarterback Josh Allen was among some of their players who had this problem. Others have speculated include Harrison Phillips, Vernon Butler and Quinton Jefferson. All of these guys missed practice on Sunday but will probably be back on Monday. Buffalo will be sure of these false positives, especially since several players affected by him came from the defensive line.
