Zinedine Zidane defies Gareth Bale transfer rumors

Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane has insisted that his team be “united” while speculation such as Gareth Bale and James Rodriguez continue to be linked to a club change.

Bale recently made headlines for his antics on the bench. The Welshman appears to be falling asleep and pretending to watch the game with provisional binoculars.

The former Tottenham man has hardly played for the team since the block was resumed. Rumor has it that his relationship with Zidane has deteriorated, while James is also frozen and will be safe at the end of the season.

Zinedine Zidane’s relationship with Gareth Bale seems to have collapsed

When asked if Bale should leave Madrid before the Villarreal game on Thursday, Zidane replied, “What a question. You’re trying to get things between us but you won’t be able to.”

“Every day you ask the same thing. You can do it; you have the right to ask what you want. But we agree. Gareth, James, everyone.”

Madrid are approaching a first La Liga title in three seasons and are four points ahead of Barcelona with just two games.

It remains to be seen what happens to Bale, but James is said to have sparked Manchester United’s interest.

The 29-year-old has only played 78 minutes since resuming La Liga in June, and the Spanish publication Sport on TeamTalk claims he can go on this summer for 25 million euros.

Old Trafford is said to be the playmaker’s preferred target, although Wolves and Everton are also interested, and Sport claims that James should cut wages at every step.

After his two-year loan period at Bayern Munich, the South American has only played 14 games this season – eight in the La Liga and only two in the Champions League.
