Nawaro Straubing found what he was looking for as his third middle blocker. The volleyball Bundesliga team signed the Slovakian Sandra Szaboova. The 24-year-old comes to Nawaro from Chamalieres. Before joining the French league, she played for SC Potsdam. Szaboova is happy to be back in the Bundesliga: “I missed the high level of play in the league. Everything is well organized and the fans always create a great atmosphere.” Nawaro trainer Benedikt Frank was also impressed by the transfer. “With Sandy comes a player who wants to attack again and who knows the league,” he said. “She is a calm, but very good guy. She will certainly help us in the middle block, as a player with experience but also with perspective. I am really looking forward to it.”
