Victor Osimhen had direct talks with Manchester United and Liverpool before signing for Napoli.
The Lille star, who has scored 18 goals and scored six assists this season, has sparked the interest of the giants of the Premier League this summer.
Jurgen Klopp’s team was looking to strengthen his goal options while Ole Gunnar Solskjaer appeared close to adding more goals to his.

But the 21-year-old refused the passage from both sides, preferring southern Italy for the 2020/21 campaign.
And his move was confirmed by Napoli today on Twitter, with President Aurelio de Laurentiis who also said: “Welcome Victor!”
It comes when the Nigerian was warned that he had made the right decision by avoiding Anfield this summer.
