Before the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, not all clubs managed to play in the quarter-finals.

These teams include Real Madrid, Barcelona (both Spain), Manchester City, Chelsea London (both UK), Juventus Turin, Naples (both Italy), Olympique Lyon “(France) and Bayern Munich (Germany).

Friday’s draw revealed that Real – City’s duel winner and Juventus – Olympique’s winner – will meet in the first quarter final.

The second quarter-final will feature a duel between Leipzig (Germany) and Madrid’s Atletico, while the third will feature the winners of the Barcelona duel and the Bayern Chelsea.

Atalanta and PSG were drawn in the last pair of quarter-finals.

The quarter-finals will take place in Lisbon from 12 to 15 August, and the semi-finals will take place on 18 and 19 August.

The first semi-final game will be hosted by one of the winners of the quarter-finals – “Real”, “City”, “Juventus” or “Olympique”, who will meet with “Barcelona”, “Napoli”, “Bayern” or “Chelsea”.

In the second semi-final, Leipzig, the winner of the Atletico pair and Atalanta, the strongest team in the PSG duel, will compete.

The final will take place in Lisbon on 23 August.

It is significant that “Bayern” has a chance to win its third trophy this year, as they have previously celebrated victories in the German Bundesliga and the Cup.

The UEFA Europa League playoffs will be settled on Friday afternoon.

Last year, Liverpool won Tothenburg’s Hotspur 2-0 in the UEFA Champions League final.
