Thomas Bryant, Gary Payton II Positive test for COVID-19

A couple of Washington Wizards have become the last NBA players to face coronavirus. Washington Post’s Ava Wallace reports that Thomas Bryant and Gary Payton II both tested positive for COVID-19.

The two did not travel with the team as the team headed to Disney World for a league restart later this month. According to the league protocol, they will remain in isolation until they meet public health standards and are canceled by a doctor.

Provided they are able to recover without incident, both Bryant and Payton II could be heavily present in Washington’s rotation as the young club tries to creep into the Eastern Conference playoffs.

Wizards head to Orlando short of hand as offensive focal points Bradley Beal and Davis Bertans join John Wall out of alignment.
