Thin Pockets, Madrid Could Not Be Able To Buy Star Players

Jakarta, CNN Indonesia –

Real Madrid called not going to shop for players in the 2020/2021 transfer market despite succeeding in winning The Spanish league this season.

The absence of Madrid in the transfer market was delivered directly by President Florentino Perez. Quoted from Sportskeeda, Perez said Los Merengues would not recruit new players. One factor is Madrid’s financial condition which is affected by the corona virus pandemic.

“You can’t ask players to lower their salaries, and then recruit players like that,” Perez said.

“There will be no big player spending on the transfer market later, the situation is bad,” he continued.

In the transfer market later, Zinedine Zidane’s team is rumored to target several stars, ranging from David Alaba (Bayern Munich), Paul Pogba (Manchester United), to Kylian Mbappe (Paris Saint-Germain).

The last two names have been the target of the capital club for a long time. Unfortunately, the corona virus pandemic that emerged since early 2020 will frustrate Madrid’s ambitions of recruiting Pogba and Mbappe.

However, Florentino Perez still hopes to get Mbappe as Madrid’s future player. Perez wants the 21-year-old striker to be patient.

“There will be no big players in the transfer market this time [Kylian Mbappe] can wait, “said the 73-year-old man.

Madrid won the 34th title of the Spanish League after beating Villarreal 2-1 at the Alfredo Di Stefano Stadium in Week 37 of La Liga.
