“They’re flying”: the Leicester City star issues a verdict on Man United and the first four games

Leicester City frontman Kelechi Iheanacho says he doesn’t care about Manchester United’s superstars in the run for the top four.

The Foxes lead United from a point as things stand and have the chance to return above Chelsea and to third place tonight with a draw or victory against Bournemouth wrestlers.

The race for the top four is tough and much of the talk took place on a united team, particularly with performances by Bruno Fernandes, Marcus Rashford, Paul Pogba and Mason Greenwood.

But that’s not one of Leicester’s concerns, according to Iheanacho, who is focusing only on what’s ahead of him and his teammates.

“The race has started,” he told Sky Sports. “Anyone can enter the top four, anyone can enter the top six.

“Bruno [Fernandes] he is the best player. Now they have Marcus Rashford and Paul Pogba on the team.

“They are flying. But that’s not what we need to worry about. We just have to focus on our games. “

Leicester has been without key players in recent times with James Maddison and Ben Chilwell struggling for fitness since rebooting and Ricardo Pereira out for the season.

But while it’s hard to replace them, the players who support those stars are more than capable, says Iheanacho.

“Madders [Maddison], Cold [Chilwell] and Ricardo are fantastic players <"he added." They have a big impact on the team. I love playing with them.

“But everyone can also fill in the gaps. Everyone knows what to do when taking someone’s place.”
